Terms of Service
Version 1.0 · Last updated 2026-07-06.
1. Who we are
"RLB Whisk", "we", "us" — the operator of the RLB Whisk service accessible via
reglegbrief.com/whisk/ and any packages that call it (including the
rlbwhisk, @rlbwhisk/client, and rlbwhisk-mcp
open-source SDKs).
2. Service description
Deterministic multilingual spellcheck as an HTTP API. Provided "as is." Free to use within the published rate limits. No warranty of availability, correctness, or fitness for a particular purpose.
3. Acceptable use
You may use the service to check spelling in any legally-obtained text. You may not:
- Send us content that is illegal in your jurisdiction or ours;
- Attempt to circumvent rate limits by rotating IPs or keys;
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the closed-source server implementation;
- Resell the free-tier API as your own service without generating your own value on top;
- Interfere with the availability of the service (denial of service, network abuse);
- Use the service to generate content that violates applicable law (including illegal, harmful, or infringing content).
We may revoke API keys and block IPs that violate this section, without notice.
4. Rate limits
Published at the docs landing page and enforced via HTTP 429 responses. Rate limits may change; material changes will be announced at least 30 days in advance via the docs site.
5. API keys
Keys are issued self-serve, without account creation. You are responsible for keeping
your keys secret. If a key is compromised, revoke it via DELETE /api/v1/keys/me
or generate a new one — we cannot recover lost keys because we don't associate them with any
personal identifier.
6. Data
Request and response bodies are not logged or stored. See our Privacy Policy for the details. Server-side processing is ephemeral (in-memory, less than 60 seconds).
7. Intellectual property
The server-side implementation is proprietary. The client SDKs (rlbwhisk, @rlbwhisk/client, rlbwhisk-mcp) are licensed under MIT and may be freely used, modified, and redistributed under the terms of that license.
8. Warranty disclaimer
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that results returned will meet your needs.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RLB Whisk and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising from your use of or inability to use the service. The service is free; usage constitutes acceptance of this limitation.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced at the docs site with the updated date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
